The beauty in being a woman

It was 10 minutes past midnight. The flight was unprecedentedly delayed by 2 hours. “ A technical hitch “ was what was told to us. We were relieved that the flight had landed smoothly without any technical issues. I was on my way to visit my daughter.

As I retrieved my luggage from the conveyor belt, troubled thoughts swirled in my mind. It’s getting late. Should I leave now, or should I stay at a nearby hotel for the night before continuing my journey? Lost in thought, I kept walking until I reached the exit. As I was about to leave, someone grabbed my suitcase and said, "Namaste, Madam. You're late to visit your daughter this time."

His cheerful face was like a God-given gift.

I replied, "Yes, I have been busy," then we started. I relaxed and leaned back, ready to sleep.

The journey of a woman's life is both challenging and beautiful.

Understanding the challenges that women face in their everyday lives is something that only another woman can truly understand. It begins with choosing a career that may not be traditionally accepted by society. It extends to the struggle of maintaining a work-life balance, with judgment on either side for being perceived as unambitious or too ambitious. Overcoming gender biases and breaking stereotypes to demonstrate expertise is another hurdle. However, the most pressing concern is prioritizing personal safety above all else.
"But a woman is still beautiful”

She continues to be a homemaker with love and pride and handles office work as well. Sometimes she gives way to others at work, even though she does not doubt her capacity. She continues to adapt and be resilient.

In times when a woman’s integrity is judged by the length of her clothes, the volume of her speech, the openness of her laughter and the extent of her independence, she gracefully tempers these notions with her love and compassion.

She always wins.

She embodies the spirit of womanhood, encouraging everyone to rise above challenges and embrace the beauty within.

Most importantly, she continues to trust and hail any cab even at midnight, because she feels that the world is as beautiful as she is.
